1. HISTORY OF THE CHURCH

Harvest House International Jhb was started on the 5th of February 2006 and has been growing fast since then. It is pastored by our beloved Pastors Prince & Blessing Maphosa.

The church is part of Harvest House International founded by Apostle Colin & Sarah Nyathi. From an average of 11 members when HHI Jhb started, this church is growing daily to hundreds and hundreds of people that meet every Sunday for a life changing time in the presence of God. There has been a great harvest in this house in all angles of life, we  experience miracles daily, people give their lives to God in numbers, the sick are being healed, jobless are employed, promotions are the order of the day to mention a few.

  2. OUR VISION STATEMENT

To establish the New Testament, Apostolic & Prophetic Church that will impact the city of Johannesburg and the surrounding areas according to Ephesians 2:20; Acts 17 :6 

 3. OUR MISSION STATEMENT

To preach good tidings to the meek , to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty  to the captives, the opening of prison doors to them that are bound, to comfort all who mourn, to give them beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.(Isa 61:1-3) 

 4. OUR PASSION

  • To see the wounded, bruised, downtrodden and rejected turning to God and being reconciled back to Him through a living relationship with Christ Jesus.
  • To see the glory of the latter church restored in our day. Haggai 2:9
  • To re-live the book of Acts and do greater works than the early church. John 14:12

 5. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

  We are for:

  • Evangelism to reach out to people in our community and win them to Christ.
  • Fellowship - to incorporate every believer who comes to Christ into responsible church membership and fellowship in God’s family through home groups.  
  • Discipleship - to equip every church member to become a mature Christian.
  • Ministry – to prepare every believer for their involvement in the local church ministry as well as world missions.
  • Worship - to teach and train the local church to exalt and magnify God individually and corporately.
  6. OUR CALLING TO THE CITY  
  •  To be a Well of Anointing oil - from which many will come, drink, and be refreshed and get healed. 
  • To be a River Church - that will spread fires of Holy Ghost revivals in the city.
  •  To be a Worship Centre - that will restore the true Davidic order of worship in the city of Johannesburg and the surrounding areas and draw the presence of God down recorded music that will be a blessing to the nations
  • To be a Training Centre

a)       That will teach God’s word and make disciples in the city.

b)       Equipping and training the saints for the work of the ministry

c)       Training and developing Christian leaders for the Kingdom
